Meet Golden Ape member Jade Randolph

1.Why did you join Golden Ape CrossFit?Â
I joined because of the family friendly environment that I felt as soon as I walked through the door. Being new to town, and not knowing very many people, I was welcomed with open arms by everyone, and that was a huge relief for me. I have always loved working out, but it was hard to keep myself motivated when going to a regular gym by myself. Everyone at Golden Ape is encouraging and loving and has been such a great support system, even when we are all working out from home.Â

2.What’s been your biggest accomplishment at GA?
My biggest accomplishment so far is honestly, just getting started and staying consistent. Joining Golden Ape, I have learned that its not just going to the gym and working out that is going to get me where I want to be, I have to change my lifestyle as well. I have changed the way I eat, changed my outlook on exercise in general, and used that as motivation to keep going. I look forward to working out each day and have noticed a huge difference in myself since I started in January.Â
🔸
What are you working on now?Â
Currently, I am working on staying consistent in my workouts, and things that I struggle with. A big thing i have been working on is box jumps. It was one of my goals to get 5 unbroken 24 inch box jumps and I am happy to say that I have been able to accomplish that! Working through the mental blocks that comes with telling myself I cant do something and then proving to myself that I can has been such a huge motivating factor in keeping me going.Â

4. What’s your favorite Golden Ape CrossFit memory?Â
My favorite memory with Golden Ape so far has to be the WOD & WINE event that we had. Getting to hang out with all the girls and have my friend Anna join and get a look into why I love CrossFit so much was a lot of fun. It was fun getting to workout with ladies that I don’t normally get to workout with because we train at different times during the day.Â

5. What motivates you to continue training at Golden Ape CrossFit?Â
One of the things that keeps me motivated to continue training is everyone that I train with. We all lift each other up and support each other no matter what, inside and outside of the gym. Having that support system has been huge so far this year. Another thing that keeps me training, is that no matter what level people are on, we all had to start somewhere. Everyday, I try to be a little bit better than the person I was yesterday. I try to push myself a little further than the day before. I don’t compare myself to everyone else in the gym, I look up to them and think that if I keep pushing, and just try to be better than who I was yesterday, I will get to where I want to be, and I will continue to crush my goals one at a time! Golden Ape has been such a huge blessing in my life and I couldn’t be more thankful for such an awesome gym family!Â
