I’m still working on the basics: form, strength building, remembering what an EMOM is, lol. 4. What’s your favorite Golden Ape CrossFit memory? 5. What motivates you to continue training at Golden Ape CrossFit? My future health, I know I’ve found the right people to help me on my journey. I have a long way to go but the people celebrate each little victory with me and that keeps me motivated while I cross another finish line.
I started out my journey at 412 pounds. I had weight loss surgery because I needed help, but that wasn’t enough. I knew I needed to change my entire lifestyle and help myself.
Not giving up. Currently I am beating depression and anxiety into the ground, thanks in part to Golden Ape. They used to rule me, however, so I consider each day a blessing.
The overwhelming amount of encouragement. Coaches and fellow athletes are both so welcoming. And there’s always someone willing to help you modify and keep you safe while training.
